YOUNG PEOPLE AND LOCAL SELF GOVERNMENT

After the initiative of the president of Palilula Municipality, Boban Dzunic, PhD Mile Ilic, president of the Nis City Assembly, had a visit by a delegation of young people -Adriana Anastasov, president of the Council for young and Vladimir Mladenovic, representative of the Regional office for young in Nis. President of the Assembly welcomed the initiative for founding of municipal offices for youth in order to include more young people in social events and give their contribution to the improvement of young population life quality in the city. He also appealed to bigger engagement of young people in the city aiming at giving initiatives that the City Assembly in the sphere of its authorities later would adopt.

The compliance was achieved also on the matter of urgent provision of appropriate area for work and activities of the young in the city. President Ilic suggested that in the territory of Palilula Municipality, in the shortest possible period, for these purposes and function the building of Tower in Palilula should be adapted.

During the meeting it was also announced the forming of the Office for young of the City of Nis, as well as soon visit of president Ilic to Palilula Municipality in order to make former talks and agreements more concrete.
